As the co-chair of this years 8th grade dance, and after months of planning, and 6 hours of decorating this weekend, and working at the party for 3 hours and then cleaning up after the party for 1 1/2 hours, it’s finally over!
The kids had a great time, and it was a HUGE success! For 3 straight hours, I poured 450 cans of pop and 4 cases of water! It was non-stop the whole time. And, I rented a popcorn machine and didn’t burn one batch, so I was very happy about that!
Here are some pics of the event!
We had tables set out in the “snack” area. On each table were star cookies, made by a friend of mine at work, and chips.
This is where I stood for 3 hours, pouring pop and making/serving popcorn.
This is the entrance into the gym where the dance was held. We covered the walls with wall paper with silver stars!
Three 8th graders who were on the dance planning committee with me, they had a ton of great ideas!!
And here we have a group of my son’s friends, (you can’t see him in this picture though!)
So luckily I had Sunday to re-coup before the work week, it was a great time, but I am t-i-r-e-d!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
You know I did it last year so I know how much work it is — so GREAT JOB, girl! You really did a nice job. I wanted a popcorn machine but was outvoted so I love that you got it!!! I hope Paul had a great time (did he have a date????). Congrats on a job well done!
