So this year there are a lot of changes from prior seasons. One thing which I think is a good one, is that for now, each player is an individual, so you don’t have to rely on someone else doing poorly and be sent home because of that.
In the end, 2 women were facing elimination, Allie, who is above, and 58 year old Tina. In the end, the other members voted of Allie. One thing she had said during the show via video conferencing with her Mom (who was obese herself), is she asked her Mom that once she got home, she needed support and things had to change and they needed to do it together. So unfortunately, her stay there was brief, only a week and as soon as she got home there were candy bars on the counter and tons of junk food. Clearly her Mom was not going to change with her. SO, she moved out, got support from Danny, winner of last years Biggest Loser and has lost 60 pounds so far! At then end of the show, they did mention that Allie was now talking with her Mom. But, I give her props for taking care of her health even though her Mom didn’t want to!
Do you have a favorite so far on this seasons Biggest Loser?
OK, so now onto the worst burger in America! Yesterday I was reading an article in Men’s Health Magazine on line and they had the worst burgers in America. I went straight to the top to see which one was the worst….are you ready??
Chili’s Smokehouse Bacon Triple Cheese Big Mouth Burger with Jalapeño Ranch Dressing
1,901 calories
138 g fat 947 g saturated)
4,201 mg sodium
Any burger whose name is 21 syllables long is bound to spell trouble for your waistline. This burger packs almost an entire day’s worth of calories and 2½ days’ worth of fat. Chili’s burger menu rivals Ruby Tuesday’s for the worst in America, so you’re better off with one of their reasonable Fajita Pitas to silence your hunger.
I’m not sure how you can make a burger so bad and serve it to people! And I can’t believe people eat this, but get fries and a drink on top of it! Yuck!
*******
Also, don’t forget I’m hosting BSI this week. The ingredient is PORK. So send me your recipes + pics at slim-shoppin@comcast.net. You have until Sunday October 2nd to enter. There will be a nice prize too for the winner!
I actually think I may have eaten that burger once. It sounds familiar. How sad is that?
I’m enjoying the changes on BL this season as well. I think it will help keep the show fresh.
Restaurant meals can be soooo scary! And, often they don’t even sound that unhealthy. So many innocent-sounding restaurant salads have 1,000 calories or more…
Haven’t seen The Biggest Loser yet this season. But I think I may try to catch up…
i havent started watching tbl yet, although i do have it recorded. i think i might have gotten burned out last season…2 hour episodes are just too long for me!
oh man…that burger doesnt even SOUND good! what a crazy amount of calories for one single meal and you’re right…that doesnt even include fries!
I used to eat those burgers…can’t fathom it now. How did I get fat, again? LOL
Sounds like a Wendy’s salad (har har) but seriously – check out their stats!!!
Since we don’t watch TV, I’ve never seen the Biggest Loser but I know I would love it! I need to see if I can get the past seasons from Netflix. Good for Allie for making the choice that was best for her. Despite that burger being EVIL, it still looks so good! If I ever got it, which is doubtful, I would split it into quarters and share. The most evil burger I ever put together was The Luther burger, which is a bacon cheeseburger put between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Call me crazy, but I thought it would be a lot better than it was, and I still ate the whole thing. First and last time! 🙂
We started watching Biggest Loser last season and my kids LOVE it. In fact, it is really the ONLY show that we watch together, we don’t watch a lot of TV (except for the Little House on the Prairie that we’ve been getting from Netflix, yes, we’re nerds). Anyways, my kids all picked a winner, no idea on the names yet but I picked the big yellow shirt guy, I THINK his name is Aaron.
I was SO happy to see this chick lose 60 lbs. by herself. Support is ESSENTIAL. So GOOD for her!
Sorry, but that burger looks GOOOOOOOD! 🙂
