Welcome back to another post sharing what I eat in a day! So many people who start a weight loss journey – even if it’s on Weight Watchers like me get stumped about what to eat. Showing examples of great tasting food that you can eat AND lose weight AND be satisfied is something I love to share.
First Meal
My first meal was more of the zucchini bread my neighbor made and the BIGGEST blackberries I’ve ever seen. My breakfast was 4 Personal Points.
Second Meal of the Day
Food finds from Aldi were used for this meal. The next time you go to Aldi – get the mini garlic naan bread. At only 140 calories or for me 5 personal points – it’s awesome with eggs, as the base of a pizza, for a wrap.
The naan was going to be part of a brunch type meal. I toasted it in the toaster. While that was toasting, I fried 2 eggs. Once the naan came out of the oven I added another of my favorites – allouette cheese spread! One tablespoon is only 1 personal point!
A big fruit bowl of an apple and strawberries, half an orange bell pepper rounded out my lunch. Since I am diabetic I have to count points for fruit – so this meal was 9 personal points. It was super filling too!
For a late afternoon snack, I made something I had seen many times – edible cookie dough. However if you search online for lots of recipes, you’ll find butter, lots of sugar as part of the ingredients. I found a version on TikTok from Claire – check out her instagram here for one that was super low in points.
Snack – Edible Cookie Dough!
1/2 cup oats – ground to a flour in a blender
1 scoop orgain vanilla protein powder
pinch of salt
pinch of baking powder
a few tablespoons of almond milk
Lily’s chocolate chips
In a bowl, add the blended oats, the protein powder, salt and baking powder and mix well. Add enough almond milk until it’s like a thick batter. Stir in the chocolate chips and freeze for 15 minutes. I wasn’t sure what it was going to taste like – but I loved this!!
It tasted just like eating cookie dough batter! I will definitely make this again. For my WW friends – here is the link to add it to your WW app. For me this bowl was 5 personal points.
Dinner! It’s Friday Night – Party Pizza Friday!
Every Firday night we have pizza!! Recently we’ve found a great place to order from Kaiser’s Pizza in Gurnee, IL. It’s just like the pizza we had in our hometown of Oak Park, IL. In the Chicago area – the pizza is cut into squares. I usually have 5 squares of pizza and count it between 15-20 personal points. (I definitely save weeklies for the pizza!)
Check out my category for pizza related recipes HERE . That wraps up my day – not pictured: 2 beers and pretzels for watching our recorded shows on TV. Total points for the day 43.
