I had a great weekend, I used some of my flex points, but all in all I did great keeping track of my points!! I think the biggest thing for me is to plan so I don’t have to go out for lunch at work, or be tempted by a huge bakery muffin on my way to work. I stick to the motto “if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail” so I got up early enough to pack great things for me to take to work today!
I have:
1 srv. Trader Joe’s cereal – 3 pts.
1 srv. Fiber One – 0 points
1 yogurt – 2 points
1 banana – 2 pts.
1/2 cup mango chuncks – 1 pt.
1/2 cup pineapple chunks – 1 pt.
1 srv. pistacchios – 3 pts.
green beans – 0 points
stir fry sauce for green beans – 1 pt.
leftover burger on lite bun – 4 points
So that will be my day today and I’m making something with chicken for dinner tonight and I’m hoping to exercise too as soon as I get home, so I will have a great day!
Do you bring snacks/food to work with you??
Good job at packin’ your foods! I do the same. We gotta do what we gotta do to keep healthy foods an option at all times. 😀
I pack my lunch 99% of the time with snacks. I work 12 hour shifts so I have to basically pack a whole days worth of food. Most times I stick to eat but sometimes I get bored or don’t feel like eating what I bring and the cafe’ gets the best of me. I need to work on that!!
Glad you had a great weekend!! Your packed food sounds great! I’m a BIG packer – I always have ’emergency’ food on me just in case I get stuck somewhere 🙂
I’m a 100 percent with you on the plan to fail quotation. I am a planning nut these days because if I don’t i’m taken over by nasty hunger gremlins. It’s been a little while but i’ve learnt the importance of healthy snacking.
I pack my food when I work (which is part-time) – not only has it saved me tons of money, but it’s saved me from myself by having made sensible choices when I was not hungry, so that when meal-time rolled around, the food was there and I wasn’t tempted to go out and pick something up.
Looking at your food – I must go get some mango!
I brought my food with me today! I had celery w/ laughing cow cheese for a snack, a salad with chicken and cucumbers/tomatoes for lunch and some ff cottage cheese and a V8 for breakfast 😀 Packing for work is a great way for me to 1 – save money and 2 – stay on track with my diet 🙂
Counting, counting, counting. The world of WW points. 🙂
I work from home, so my situation is different, but I do plan out my day ahead of time in terms of dinner and breakfast, load those totals into sparkpeople and then i can see what I have leftover for snacks and lunch. If I know I’m having a big lunch, then I’ll do the opposite and figure dinner accordingly.
i have to pack food, otherwise i would snack on the massive amounts of candy available in my office. today i brought fage/fruit/kashi for breakfast, leftovers for lunch, and hummus/carrots for snack. along with 2 ginger chews! plus right now i have lean cuisine, oatmeal, boca burgers, cheese, and some bars at the office 🙂
