Weigh in Friday! I can’t believe another week has come and gone already! That’s why I am trying to make every day count, because before you know it, its time to weigh in again!
For those of you who don’t know, I am doing Weight Watchers on-line. I’ve gone to meetings in the past, and I enjoy that, but my schedule is kind of crazy and it was hard to commit to a weekly meeting. I LOVE WW online! There is a ton of information and I love logging everything on-line.
So…..I lost 1.6 pounds this week! So my grand total is 11.4 pounds in 8 weeks. Not as fast as I would like, but I am feeling great.
One thing I am integrating into my day is exercise. If it weren’t for my co-worker’s suggestion of working out during our lunch, I probably wouldn’t be doing as much. I highly recommend a work out buddy, because when you aren’t feeling like working out, or think you can’t go any farther, you can push each other to do it! For me, I am NOT a morning person, so waking up before my family and working out is never going to happen. I used to try to work out when I got home from work, but after being gone all day just to come home and leave again, I had a little Mommy guilt going on, and by the time everyone is in bed, working out at 9:00 p.m. I would usually not do it, because I was too tired! Working out during my hour lunch break has been perfect for me!
Our routine is jogging 4 days a week (3.3 miles) and going to a cardio sculpt boot camp one day a week. PLUS, I have been riding my bike to work which is another 3.6 miles!! We are on week 7 of doing that and we are hoping to keep that going!
This brings me to a new site I found called The Daily Mile. If you need motivation for moving, or are training for a race, or event, this is the site for you. It’s free to join, and basically you can post what exercise you have done and it will keep track of the miles/minutes for you!
If one day you are on the fence about whether to exercise, you can log in and see what activity other people have done that day and maybe it will motivate you to get your gym shoes on and off the couch!
How many of you exercise on a regular basis??
I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday! My daughter has a sleepover tonight, so we are taking our 2 sons to see the movie “9” tonight. Is should be fun!
ALSO: Check out Mara’s site for an awesome $150.00 cheese gift basket
Congrats on the weight loss! Slow but steady wins the race, so your loss in 8 weeks is terrific. I think the key with exercise is to really find something that works consistently for you. I’m your opposite – I *must* exercise first thing in the morning or it doesn’t happen. Right now I’m doing WATP m, w, f, weight training on t, th, a small yoga routine daily and a longer yoga routine on Sundays.
Congrats on another successful week! I either make dinner or exercise after work – I don’t have enough energy to do both, but it’s a win-win situation because I really enjoy both activities!
working out at lunch… riding your bike to work… you’re awesome!! congrats on another successful weigh-in friday; I think you’re doing so great!
Great job on the 1.6 pounds – you are really doing well!
I agree, having a workout buddy (or trainer) really helps push me beyond where I would normally go. It’s nice that you are getting so much out of your lunch hour!
That is really great that you are working exercise right into your already busy day. It really makes a difference in how you feel all day long!
The weight loss is great. And the rate of loss? Very respectable, and sustainable! I’m so proud of you!!
great job on your loss!!! that’s awesome! i definitely need to work more exercise into my days now that i am a little less busy. i forget how good it feels when i am at home relaxing after a long day, you know??
Let us know how “9” is … we were just talking about that!
Great progress!
Cheers,
Boozy & Broke
11 pounds is amazing! I just started WW (I’m not “officially” doing it but I went to one meeting recently so I have the materials and I’m familiar with the program). I WI on Mondays but thinking of changing to Fridays so I can indulge a smidge on the weekend!
Keep up the great work!
I work out on my lunch break too. It started out as 3 times a week and now it’s every day.
Another good website is http://www.livestrong.com I use their dailyplate feature to track the food I eat daily and tally my exercise. It’s free too!
Good for you for riding your bike to work! That’s cool.
