I’ve gotten a bunch of e-mails asking me for soup recipes, so I decided to feature a few of my favorite soups I’ve made so far!
I love soup because its low in calories, you can make it totally healthy, and it makes me happy!
So, here are a few links to the best soups ever!!!
Baked Potato soup. By far my favorite one, this tastes like it came from a restaurant, but its healthy!
Beef Stew – the easiest recipe ever!
So, that will answer some of the e-mails I have gotten. What is your favorite all time soup??

Exercise update!
I’ve still been working out every week, which has been awesome. I even rode my bike to work today because it was 50 degrees when I was leaving, and I thought, why take the bus when I can get there quicker on my bike and no waiting!
The one thing I forgot was that it will be dark out when I leave 🙁
Oh well, I’ll just have be careful!
I have an awesome tip that my boot camp instructor told me about last week. She was talking about when people have desk jobs (i.e. we don’t move much!) how important it is to get up periodically and walk around/keep moving.
One thing she does is after she uses the bathroom, is she will do 20 squats over the toilet! Isn’t that funny?! Just squat until your tush almost hits the seat, stand up and repeat. Try it, its pretty hard! So, if you drink a lot of water/coffee, and have a lot of potty breaks, it adds up fast!
I’ve also added 20 jumping jacks to that as well. (In the handicapped stall which is bigger and when no one else is in there!)
AND, my friend at work suggested doing calf raises while washing your hands, so now I am doing that as well!
So, a little mini work out during your bathroom break. Who’d have thought? I’ve done that for the last week and I think its a great way to add activity into your day.
I love soups, too! Some of my favorites are beef stew, chicken and veggie, and split pea. I also love that most of them are quick and easy, but you can put them in the crock pot and they’ll be ready when you get home from work!
Fave soup = kabocha soup! I suppose that is not a surprise…Close fave = French Onion!
I’ve got my eyes on that beer and cheese soup!
I have really fallen in love with soup lately. As you said, so many are low calorie but fill you up, too!
Mmmm…tortellini soup!
My favorite soup currently is my butternut squash & apple soup – but I do enjoy some good old fashioned chicken noodle! Homemade soup is great, but I’ve have yet to find a canned soup that doesn’t make me gag!
What a good idea for a mini workout – I think I can even do that stuff on bathroom breaks at school – just sitting around for hours is so boring & I always feel so tired at the end of the day from doing nothing!
Oh, I tried your chicken parm the other night, it was yummy!
Those are great tips! Thanks for sharing the links to some of your favorite soups!
I love soups, too. Among my faves (no single one) are: Scandinavian Cucumber Soup, Mexican Lime Soup and Roasted Winter Root Vegetable Soup. I love your taco soup!
Thanks for the soup recipes!
Great idea on the mini workouts – I’ll have to remember them on the days that I park my butt in a chair all day, otherwise known as WORK.
Thanks for posting all the soup recipes.
Love the visual of you doing your potty break workout. Too funny!
a special request!! summer soup?
