You can ask my sister, my dinners have been super boring and repetitive since my husband’s jaw has been broken and he can’t eat any real food, I have gotten lazy in the kitchen! Since my sister and I talk about food on a daily basis, I’ve told her I’m either making pasta or chicken!
Well, I was going to make chicken AGAIN and wanted to kick it up a bit. I didn’t have any bread crumbs, but I did have a bag of pretzels, so that ended up being my coating. I actually took 2 big chicken breasts and cut them in half horizontally, making 4 flatter chicken breasts.
Pretzel/Mustard Chicken Breasts
In a ziploc bag, I crushed a few handfuls of pretzels into smaller pieces.
To make the pretzels stick, I put brown mustard on the outside of each chicken breast and then dipped it in the pretzels.
In a large skillet I added just enough Canola oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Cook on each side for about 4 minutes each or until the chicken is cooked through.
My kids loved it, all three of them asked for more, but there wasn’t any extra! I’ll definitely make that again!
On another note, there are many different ways to recognize weight loss and I had one yesterday….
I can now easily take on and off my wedding ring which is something I haven’t been able to do in years!!! Wahoo!!! Now I can actually get it professionally cleaned which I have wanted to do in a long time!!!
I’ve started to kick up my work outs now that summer is fast approaching.
Has anyone tried P90X? My girlfriend has all 12 work out dvd’s, but she is pregnant and so she let me borrow them. I tried the Cardio X last night which was 50 minutes long and besides not being able to do a few of the moves, I pretty much did the whole thing! It was a great work out, I was sweating buckets!
