Homemade Fajita Seasoning
So, I did a google search, got some ideas and went from there.
Jennβs Fajita Seasoning Mix
2 TB. chili powder
1/2 TB. salt
1 TB. paprika
1 TB. sugar
2 tsp. chicken boullion (crushed cubes or powder from a jar)
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. (or more!) or crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp. ground cumin
Mix together in a bowl.
Heat 1 1/b pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes into a big skillet. About half way through cooking, add 3 TB. of the fajita marinade and 1/2 cup of water.
I cook the peppers in a separate skillet, because some of my kids donβt like that combo. I used the Trader Joeβs tri-peppers that come frozen. So easy!
The result? So good! I will NEVER buy store-bought seasoning again, this was so flavorful, a little spicy, but we all loved it!
Do you make your own taco or fajita seasoning? I would love a taco spice mixture recipe!
