One thing that helped me out today was preparing my food the night before. That way I have time to make something deluxe if I want and not be rushed throwing things in my bag.
For breakfast I had:
1 Thomas whole grain English Muffin
.5 oz deli turkey meat
.5 oz. cheddar cheese
1 small container vanilla yogurt
1 banana
445 calories, 63 carbs, 10 fat and 29 grams of protein.
This breakfast took me a while to eat at my desk, so I didn’t need an a.m. snack!
What better way to get more veggies in then my favorite, a HUGE stir fry
I had pea pods, carrots, celery, onion, broccoli slaw, and 2.5 oz. chicken + 2 TB of my favorite Thai peanut stir fry sauce.
443 calories, 53 carbs, 14 grams fat, and 15 fiber
No afternoon snack either. My friend and I walked again during lunch, and this plate took me a while to finish. So GOOD!!
For dinner, another way to get more veggies, a HUGE salad. I had chicken, feta cheese, pea pods, broccoli slaw, celery, onion and a few peanuts.
PLUS, I had something I haven’t had in a long time with dinner….skim milk! I had 2 cups. My kids were like “You’re having milk?” because what I usually have is a diet coke.
My HUGE salad with the 2 cups of milk came in at:
482 calories, 42 grams of carbs, 15 grams of fat and 44 grams of protein.
Tomorrow will mark the end of the first week of eating more fruits and veggies and I can tell you a few things that are different
*Cravings much less for bad foods
*Very satisfied
*I LOVE huge portions, I don’t feel like I am dieting at all
*I feel better

What a great show tonight!!! Everyone did so great. Once Tracy and Liz were in the bottom, I was hoping that she would be sent home…. and I was glad she was!
BUT, I have to give her props because she looked great, she’s down 85 pounds!!!!
What did everyone else think of the show tonight?
I loved that she is finally gone, but she has done a fantastic job with losing more weight at home. Seeing how her family loved and missed her made me realize too that she is a real person with feelings and a family just like the rest. I just always thought she was kinda robotic – there on a mission to win $ and that was all. Toward the end I started seeing a different side to her.
That stir fry looks yummy!!!
You are such an inspiration!!!
oooh your veggie intake is awesome – I need to take a page from your book for SURE! I like your turkey/cheese muffin – that’s cute/easy and breakfasty! Do you heat it up?!
I was so happy to see Tracey sent home but wow, she did great when she got there huh? She didn’t seem to regret any of her earlier decisions so I think it was fair that she went home.
I love stuffing myself full of veggies (like hugh jass salads) because then I don’t incessantly snack the rest of the day!
