It’s a chilly and rainy day in Chicago today, so no riding my bike to work.
First off, I need to update my weight loss! I am down another pound this week, which is a miracle considering last weekend after the death of my brother in law I pretty much didn’t weigh any foods, or count or measure or care what I ate!
So, I was ecstactic to see a number on the scale I haven’t seen in a LONG time!
It’s so funny when you gain weight you see numbers going up and freak out about it, but when you start losing weight you see that same number and you are cheering!
So yesterday at work, I usually work out during lunch with my friend from work. We jog 3.4 miles a few days a week in addition to our boot camp class. I started to wonder what we could do when its icky out (like it was yesterday) and I thought about what if we work out with a DVD. We have a big office, but not a lot of free space, but there is space in a design resource library where we could work out virtually unseen.
I told the idea to my friend and she was like “Hell No!” But I still wanted to do it instead of doing nothing. So I ran across the street to the library, checked out a Biggest Loser DVD, and got set up.
I turned the lap top on, and couldn’t log in because I hadn’t logged in before. So, I had to call the IT guy to help me. And after all that (and 20 minutes later) I put in the DVD and the computer couldn’t read the DVD!! I could have given up, but instead worked out on my own for 30 minutes doing things I’ve learned in my boot camp, so that is TOTALLY not like me to go to such lengths, but I felt great doing it and it seems to be paying off!
I’m wearing pants today that are the next size down and they aren’t skin tight either!!
So, I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday!!
Monday will be the next installment of my Weight Loss Success Story where you will meet Keith who has lost 200 pounds!!!!! His story is amazing!!
I am so proud of you Jennifer! You are doing great. I am also proud of you for being so diligent in getting a workout in — no matter what obstacles you faced!! And lastly I am glad that you are doing something so positive for yourself. You are an inspiration!
Yeah for 1 pound…it’s 3500 calories!
You are so right – seeing a number on the scale that we wouldn’t have liked on our way UP sure has a different meaning on the way back DOWN…and I’m glad you saw one you liked!
Congratulations!!!
