Burger and fries please!
One of the things I am most proud of as a working Mom and wife with 3 kids, is that I never resort to fast food for meals. Β Plus, why do the drive through when you can make the same thing at home except not feel guilty about it?
I started making this for dinner, and then realized I forgot to buy buns! But, I had a ton of English muffins, so that worked great instead. For this burger I used ground sirloin. I started with 4 oz. of raw meat, which shrunk to about 3 oz. I topped it with a half ounce of pepper jack cheese, some raw spinach, raw red onion and sweet pickles! For the fries, just take however many potatoes you want and slice them thin. I drizzle about a tablespoon of canola oil on top. Sprinkle some paprika on top and bake them at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. (Stir occassionally)
Then on the side, I just sauteed some pea pods to get more veggies in. Total on this meal is around 425 calories! Not bad!
