After blizzard winds and tons of snow, for the first time since 1979, my sons high school as well as the middle school and elementary schools are closed!
My son was saying that the high school has only closed 4 times in the last 100 years. I was able to leave work early yesterday, so I was home by 4:00 p.m. just as it was starting to get bad. We watched all evening as the snow, mostly sideways and wind pelted out windows. As of the news last night 80,000 people in Chicago were without power. That was my worst fear. We are warm and have food, so that is all I need 🙂
So enjoy today if you are home bound and if you live somewhere where it is warm, then consider yourself lucky!
omg that is crazy!!!
WOW – Atlanta closed down for like 5-7 days last month – SO weird. Usually 1 snow day is normal – maybe 2 – but folks were trapped for a while!
Wow!!! That’s a LOT of snow! Enjoy the snow day! 🙂
Wow… four snow days in 100 years… we used to have about 4 per year! I’m glad you and the family are safe and warm!
Holy yuck. That is crazy. You’re right, it’s nice to be warm in times like this.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much snow before!
It was actually really nice in VA today. High’s in the 50’s. It makes me wish that it was spring right now.
That snow up the steps is CRAZY!!! Hard to believe there is land under all of that white stuff.
I was scared we were gonna lose power too! It flickered a few times late last night and I was terrified! You guys look like us with all the drifts – I just put up my own pics and vid. Glad you’re all safe and warm! Awesome space shot! Haven’t seen that one yet!
Holy smokes, that snow is CRAZY!!! Mother Nature is pissed off at the world this winter, isn’t she??? Take care and stay safe and warm until you can dig out Jenn!!!
Today there is school in Providence, but we had a 2 hour delay, so morning kindergarten in much of the state was canceled.
We just had two consecutive snow days (Tuesday and Wednesday)…
