Pears and Popchips

I got home from work yesterday and had 3 boxes waiting for me. I knew what one was because my sister Biz told me already:

Yippee!! Harry and David pears! As you can see, one has already been consumed.

Then next 2 boxes?

My friends at Pop Chips sent me 2 cases of Pop Chips for the Holidays, how nice was that? Thanks Pop Chips, you’ve made my kids super happy to have a bag in their lunch today!

It seems like this Holiday season is flying by and I haven’t really had any time to enjoy it yet! I have to slow down a little and concentrate on what counts most. I haven’t really started baking yet (although I will tonight for teachers gifts for the last day of school tomorrow). At work yesterday, we got a few “towers of treats” in cute boxes, so I took the empty boxes home so put the cookies in, I think it will look cute.

I am looking forward to today though. We have our annual “Yankee Swap” party during lunch. I’ve already ordered the pizzas and picked up the pop and we will have at least 40-45 people participating, so it should be really funny. Last year I was the one who got to pick from all the gifts, and I actually took this from one of my bosses (brave, right?)

I chose the Leopard Skin Snuggie! I love that thing, I wear it every night watching tv. I wish I could bring it to work :).

Do you do office parties like that? And this weekend is our office Christmas party. In case you don’t know, the company I work for designs restaurants, so usually it at a restaurant we’ve designed. We’ve had parties at Mike Ditka’s in Oak Brook, Scoozi’s in Chicago, Joe’s Steak House, Petterino’s, Brookfield Zoo (Bocaditos), but this year our party is going to be at Tavern at the Park in Chicago. It’s right across the street from millennium Park, with views of the Lake, so it should be a great time!

Have a wonderful day!
