I am kind of bummed because I thought today was my one year anniversary, but it turns out it was April 3rd! Oh well! I think this blog is the longest thing I have stayed committed to in my life! What started out as a place to post recipes has turned into something so much better than that. I have “met” so many people out there in the wonderful world of food blogging. I met Roni from www.ronisweigh.com in person when she came to Chicago and I sat next to her at lunch (how cool!). I’ve made countless recipes that other people have created so beautifully and taken such awesome pictures of! A year ago I barely knew what a widget was, akismet, HTML, cropping, flickr, plug-ins, or what a blogroll was! How far I’ve come in one short year!
In the past year I’ve had 12,817 visits, with 26,693 page views! That seems so amazing to me!
I want to thank the people who come every day and see what I’ve made, whether it turns out or not! I love reading the nice things that people have to say, that makes my day! My goal for this blog in the next year is to learn more about cooking, nutrition, wellness, learn more about food photography, and lose more weight along the way! I’m going to link to the most popular or my favorite recipes of the last year, in case you are new to my site, that you may have missed along the way!
Thanks again everyone for stopping by!! Here’s to another great year!!!
As a token of my thanks, whoever leaves a comment will be entered to win a bag of quinoa flour (which is awesome and can be used in place of all purpose flour). I just bought this a few weeks ago and have added it to muffins/pancakes/cookies. It has the same nutritional profile as quinoa which is one of the most perfect foods. It contains all 9 essential amino acids your body needs! You can buy it at health food stores in your area. Good luck!
