I’m so glad I checked!

I went out to lunch at Cosi with a group of people at work.  Now, when I am not watching what I eat, I just go to the restaurant, pick whatever I want and not worry about it.  But, these days, I want to know as much as possible what I am eating.  Luckily for me, Cosi posts the nutritional information about all their food!  I love when places do that.  So, I logged on to www.getcosi.comand I picked out some choices that I thought were good.  My first thought was to go with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich that comes on their wonderful flat bread.  I looked up the nutritional information….722 calories and 40 grams of fat!  Ouch!  My other favorite sandwich there is the Italiano.  I checked that one out…747 calories and 42 grams of fat.  Ouch again!  Scrolling down, I came to the Light Turkey sandwich which is turkey, with this awesome honey mustard dressing on the flat bread.  I looked up this one….390 calories and 5 grams of fat.  We have a winner!! I went, stuck with my order, got carrots on the side and it was great.  Sometimes I don’t check first and then when I get back, I find out that I could have gotten something else that would have been much better for me.  That’s why its so important if you can, to find out first, so you can make a better choice and lose weight while eating out!  Here are my favorite sites for getting restaurant nutritional information:
