Low Carb Sloppy Joe's

Instructions
 

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
    1 lb. ground beef (I used 93% lean grass fed beef)
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    ½ teaspoon salt
    ½ tsp red pepper flakes
    ¼ tsp black pepper
    4 red and yellow baby bell peppers minced
    ½ medium white onion minced
    3 cloves garlic minced
    1 tablespoon tomato paste
    8 oz. canned tomato sauce
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon yellow mustard
    ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet.
  • Add the ground beef and let cook, untouched for 4 minutes.
  • Break up the ground beef, browning on all sides.
  • Add the spices and vegetables and stir to combine
  • Add the tomato paste and tomato sauce
  • Simmer for 10 minutes on low heat
